Today the world gets a fresh blast of air from a fan with no blades and an intriguing collection of Christmas classics delivered by a most improbable source.
James Dyson, the British inventor best known for the Dyson vacuum cleaner, figured out how to make a fan that "multiplies" air and pushes 119 gallons out of a narrow circular slit every second. Bob Dylan, the American inventor best known for (nothing less than) revolutionizing popular music, applied his craggy voice to typically treacly Yuletide tunes, producing a most unexpected combination.
The results are the Dyson Air Multiplier Fan and Christmas In the Heart.
I can't say yet whether these are great successes -- check back here soon -- but I am excited that both of these sixty-something innovators are still coming up with creative surprises.
The only problem with the Dyson Air Multiplier Fan is the price, I retail them, when you think a normal desk fan is £15, the Dyson Air Multiplier Fan is £190 odd. They are fantastic though. I have the Dyson vacuum cleaner, that was more expensive, but worth it. When will he do shavers, they need a revamp !!

It's definitely a cool technology, but as the previous commenter noted, they are very expensive. GSI makes bladeless fans that are a little cheaper, and the quality seems pretty decent.

Nothing about THE universal cionlampt about the Dyson fans/heaters after the price: noise.Any review of a fan should include a noise segment. You had a conventional fan and a Dyson side-by-side. Why not put a mike in front of them and let us hear them?
